 Why Crete…
Sunday Sept. 4th 2005, an e-mail was sent from New York to Crete and specifically to info@east-crete-property.com asking for help in finding an old stone house. Then, I knew very little of what I was getting myself into! I had never been to Crete but then I was convinced that I had been to Greece. It must have been a dream. Being inspired by my friend Ellen who owns a place in France, I was interested in finding myself a place I could call home. First, I thought of many possibilities but soon I settled on Crete and concluded I needed to buy land instead. I contacted a few real estate agents in Crete and my plan was to eye a few properties and go to see them in a few months. I was planning to take three weeks off during Christmas and New Year. Adam played a main role in my decision to buy in Crete. He was the most responsive, dependable real estate agent I ever knew. He was incredibly patient and generous with me without even meeting me. Back then, I read his blogs religiously as he was my window into Crete. His blogs were rather strange but quite simple. It was about the donkey, the blonde chicken, his kids and cooking omelet in the morning.  Â
